Oak island Harbor is actually two natural lakes, our house is situated at
the top of the north lake where we enjoy excellent water views. You'll also
see plenty of the local wildlife as waterfowl and Herons visit the lake most
days, as do the local Sand Hill Cranes.
As the pool deck faces South-West, you'll have the sun most of the day even
in the winter and you'll see plenty of the spectacular sunsets like the
ones shown here. (All photo's on this website are recent, taken by the owners).
The enclosed pool cage keeps kids in and bugs out, all doors from the house
to the pool have child alarms and the pool cage side doors can be latched
closed.
The main reason we bought this particular house was because of it's
location, (as close to Disney as you can get and with great local
facilities), we were also determined to have a lakeside home and this house
fitted our requirements perfectly.
What we didn't realise at the time, is just how nice it is to wake up to a
lake that's often mirror still, or to sit out on the pool deck watching the
evening sun go down over the lake. Some of the sunsets here are truly
spectacular.
