Although there are some great attractions to see in the area, you'll
still want to be able to have the things you need close at hand.
At the Junction of highway 192 and Formosa Gardens Blvd., just
a two minute drive from the house, is Formosa Gardens Plaza where there is a
full range of local shops and restaurants, plus a walk in medical centre, tourist information
office and attraction ticket outlet.
The excellent Marketplace supermarket (part of the Winn Dixie chain)
is open from 6am to Midnight 7 days a week. Marketplace carries just about
everything you're likely to want in the way of food and supplies
for your stay, there's also an Eckerd's Drugstore and a range of smaller
local shops and eateries, including Subway, Dairy Maid and Taco Bell, plus a
Sun Trust Bank (with an ATM). There's also a great choice of restaurants for
casual Dining.
The Outback Steakhouse, Giordano's Restaurant (excellent Pizzas),
TGI Fridays, Carabbas Italian Grill and the Red Lobster seafood house,
are all right around the plaza, there are also two oriental restaurants, the
Sushi Japanese restaurant and the Taste of China, offering eat in and take
away, (with delivery available).
The 192 itself has many more shops and outlets within a few hundred
yards of the house. There is a brand new Walgreen's pharmacy and drugstore
just across the 192 and a larger Publix supermarket just west of the
Formosa Gardens junction, there's also a choice of two local Gas Stations,
the closest to the house being just one junction east on the 192.
